TPRF Mission and Goals
The Prem Rawat Foundation addresses the fundamental human needs of food, water and peace so that people can live with dignity, peace and prosperity.
Inspired by Prem Rawat’s vision that peace is a fundamental need for all people The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) helps to make his message of peace available to people throughout the world and to support efforts to provide nutritious food, clean water, and eye care to people in need.
Prem Rawat has traveled internationally for more than forty years, addressing audiences large and small about the possibility of inner peace.
“My work,” he says, “is to reach out to people and introduce them to a possibility of peace that lies within each one of them. I hope that finding that peace will provide them with a more complete and balanced life and that they can find the inner joy that so many look for on the outside.” TPRF helps to make Prem Rawat’s message of peace widely available by sponsoring some of his addresses and developing Peace Education Programs.
TPRF's model Food for People program has been successful in helping to reverse the downward cycle of poverty for villages near Bantoli, India; Tasarpu, Nepal; and Otinibi, Ghana. The aim is to give people a second chance in life while respecting their dignity and their local culture. As Prem Rawat expresses it, "Our objective is to help people through the rough times without interfering with the beautiful things that exist in their culture, their beliefs, or their religion. When we offer a hand of help, it is on equal ground, with respect for each person as a human being.”
The efforts of TPRF are funded by the generosity of donors from over 50 countries. Most of the Foundation’s staff, including the Board of Directors, are volunteers. One hundred percent of donations designated for a specific program are allocated to that program.
The Prem Rawat Foundation is a nonprofit public foundation created in 2001. Contributions are tax deductible for US taxpayers to the extent permitted by law.
