Prem Rawat Inspires Hope for Peace on North American Tour
Los Angeles—Prem Rawat, known internationally as an Ambassador of Peace, has just completed an 11-city tour of North America, speaking at events in Oakland,
Berkeley, Seattle, Colorado Springs, Columbus, Atlanta, Boston, Baltimore, Woodstock, Toronto, and Montreal.
Opening his event in Colorado Springs, he said, “I understand that as people come to these events, there are some who are searching and some who have very distinct ideas about what peace is.” Explaining that many see peace as offering a relief from something unpleasant, he continued, “The peace I talk about does not provide relief from anything. The peace that I talk about is the answer to all your questions. It addresses the deepest wish you have ever had; it addresses the fundamentals of who you are.”
He said that for many people, “peace has become the absence of war. But that is not peace. That’s a ceasefire, because it only happens temporarily. I am talking about the peace that resides in your heart, waiting to be discovered.”

Prem Rawat has traveled internationally for more than forty years, from large cities to remote villages, speaking to audiences of all sizes. In his words: “My work is to reach out to people and introduce them to a possibility of peace that lies within each one of them, with the hope that finding that peace provides them with a more complete and balanced life and that they can find the inner joy that so many look for on the outside.”
In 2001, he created The Prem Rawat Foundation, which works to extend the outreach of his message of peace throughout the world and provides aid for people in urgent need of life-sustaining resources like food and water.
