Colors
Tens of thousands gather patiently under the sun, waiting for the celebration to start. Loud, festive music starts playing. Maharaji enters the stage and a roar erupts on the field as he opens the nozzle of the water gun. Water rushes out powerfully, clear at first, then taking on all the colors of the rainbow. Glitter, flower petals are added. Everyone is doused, drenched, soaked, exhilarated, colored beyond recognition. Sixty liters (fifteen gallons) of water per second with tremendous pressure and intense colors. Water, water everywhere, and an ocean of vivid colors. Everywhere, ear-to-ear smiles and contagious laughter from feeling washed, cleansed, happy.

Washed away
Holi is a joyful time when people in India say, "the past is washed away in the colors of the creator." In the morning, during an event with more than 50,000 people, many stood up and wished Maharaji a happy Holi, to which he replied, "Tumko Bhi Holi Mubaarak Ho" ("Happy Holi to You"). Later that day, participants jumped and yelled in joy, as wave after wave of colored water came down upon them while festive music was playing.
