Spanish Edition of Peace Is Possible by Andrea Cagan Just Released in Spain
Los Angeles, May 31, 2007 — A Spanish edition of Peace Is Possible, the Life and Message of Prem Rawat by best-selling author Andrea Cagan has just been published in Spain. The launch took place at "La Feria del Libro de Madrid," the largest book fair in Spain.
Peace Is Possible is the first complete story of Prem Rawat, known also as Maharaji. It documents his extraordinary life, about which very little has been written until now. The fourth son of a renowned master who taught people how to find peace within, he began addressing audiences at the age of three. When his father passed away, the eight-year-old prodigy took on the responsibility for bringing this message of peace to the world. Discovered by western hippies at his home by the Himalayan foothills while he was still a schoolboy, he accepted invitations to speak in England and the U.S. when he was only thirteen and has been traveling around the world ever since. Today, he is recognized internationally as a leading voice for peace.
Translated by Miguel Martinez Lage, a well-known translator, the book was published in Spain by Bajo el Alma Publishing Company. Managing Director José Secco, says, "This book strikes us as one of the exceptional books the market will notice and remember. It is the kind of literature that awakens a fascination and provides lasting edification for the reader.
"We are proud to publish this exceptional book that not only tells the extraordinary story of a fascinating individual but offers hope and inspiration to any reader interested in discovering their own nature."
Originally published in the United States by Mighty River Press in early 2007, the book has already gone into its second printing. According to Jim Levin of Mighty River Press, a publisher from Argentina has expressed interest in a Latin American Spanish edition, and translation is underway.
Another edition has just come out in British English, which will also be published in India, Australia, and New Zealand. Translations for publication are currently underway in Germany, France, Portugal, Denmark, Slovenia, Israel, and Italy.
Andrea Cagan has written, edited, and collaborated on more than fifteen books, including biographies of Diana Ross, Grace Slick, and Joan Lunden. She has brought seven books to the best-seller lists, including three that have been #1 on the New York Times list.
